"The new year is bringing a new venue for Wayne Thompson. The local guitarist extraordinaire will be taking his whole new band
The Sonic Tonic to The Back Page in Leola on Saturday, Jan. 22nd.
Music starts at 9:30 p.m.
Don't know the band? It's Mike Vitale on bass, Mike Mink on keyboard, Tom Webb on drums, Sara Kat on vocals and what's-his-name - that Wayne guy - on guitar.
Can't make it that night? Wayne's apparently been busy booking. He'll be at Chick's Tavern in Hummelstown on Friday, Jan. 7th; The Farmers Hope Inn in Manheim on Saturday, Jan. 8th; Beanies Bar & Grill in Mount Joy on Saturday, Jan. 15th; and Mick's All American Pub in Mount Joy on Friday, Jan. 28th.
For more on Wayne-and there's lots-go ot www.theguitar-shop.com and click on WAYNE THOMPSON SOLO, DUO AND BAND SCHEDULE."

"Also on tour, sort of, The Sonic Tonic, featuring friend of the column Wayne Thompson. The band - Wayne on guitar, Mike Vitale on bass, Mike Mink on keys, Sara Kat on vocals and Tom Webb on drums - will be headed up to Brooklyn not once, not twice but three times in the coming months to play at the Sidecar, 560 5th Ave., on March 26th, July 1st and July 2nd.
The band debuted last Friday at Chick's Tavern in Hummelstown, and, according to Wayne, the "show went great." Next local performance: Saturday, Jan. 22nd, at The Back Page in Leola.
Leola to Brooklyn. Now that's a tour.
Come warmer weather, The Sonic Tonic also will be playing The Naylor Winery, Stewartstown, on July 15th and August 19th. Music starts at 8 p.m. Wine starts even sooner. What more could you ask for?"
